I was involved in all stages of this project: Scriptwriting, shooting, collecting and compiling footage, and the final edit.
First, I teamed up with a studio coordinator and wrote the voiceover script that would serve as the story’s main skeleton. Then our DP and I took some shots of especially desolate-looking areas in downtown Raleigh to use for the video’s introduction. From there, our production team opened the floor to any Sokal employee who wanted to contribute to the project by taking videos of their WFH setup and daily routine. After about a week of gathering employee footage, company event recordings, and b-roll, I picked out the video clips with sound bites that could help illustrate and reinforce the voiceover message. From there, the full edit was my sole responsibility.
